Founded in 2018, Kairos Capital ("Kairos") is a hedge fund manager located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The firm was founded by Luiz Fabiano Godoi, who served as CEO of Safra Asset Management, and directed the fixed income and equities segments of Santander Asset Management in Brazil. Kairos utilizes a macro long-term trend approach in its investment decisions, enhanced by a team of economists who analyze the current economic environment and generate a basis macroeconomic scenario, which determines themes of its asset allocations. The investment process consists of a single book, which is managed in conjunction by all portfolio managers and is frequently discussed in the investment committee. The firm has its on proprietary risk model, which utilizes historical data to test moments of stress in the financial markets and limit future exposure for its investments. Geographically, Kairos has the flexibility of trading both Brazilian and international markets.
