JP Morgan Asset Management is a US-based asset management firm investing in private equity, real estate, natural resources, infrastructure, private debt & hedge funds that was founded in 1937 as part of the asset management business of JP Morgan Chase & Co. The firm makes direct, primary, and secondary investments in private equity and venture capital funds focusing on the US, Europe and Asia. The real estate arm focuses on opportunities in commercial, industrial and residential properties on a global scale and specializes in the acquisition, development and management of real estate assets as well as the management of private real estate funds. JP Morgan’s infrastructure group operates within the unlisted infrastructure sector through both open-ended and closed-ended vehicles, targeting investments in shipping and infrastructure-related debt. JP Morgan Asset Management operates across hedge fund strategies including alternative risk premia, arbitrage, long/short and macro.
