ITOCHU Technology Ventures (ITV) is a venture capital arm of ITOCHU Corporation. It seeks to create a balanced portfolio of investments across seed, early, middle to later stages with a primary focus on seed to early stage companies. The firm focuses on the IT-related business and other growth sectors such as Green IT, Healthcare IT and Life Sciences. ITV invests primarily in the Japanese market, while it may also invests in the US (mainly Silicon Valley), Israel, China, and other regions in Asia. ITOCHU Technology Ventures provides hands-on support to its investee companies leveraging the industry expertise and global network of ITOCHU Corporation. It raises capital from external investors and focuses on financial returns as opposed to strategic returns for its parent or LP investors.
