Founded in 1989, Hourglass Capital (Hourglass) is a hedge fund manager based in Houston, Texas. The firm is independently owned and serves both institutional and private clients in the U.S. and Latin America. In 1996, the firm merged with Moffet Capital Management. The two firms combined with a similar commitment to client service and a fundamentally-based, value-oriented investment style. During 2008, it relocated from Dallas to Houston and added new principals, Ken Moffet and Drew Anton. Hourglass employs fundamental, technical, and qualitative analysis in order to identify long and short equity investments. All hedge funds managed are already liquidated.
