Established in 1973, Haitong International Asset Management is the offshore arm of Haitong International Securities Group. It manages portfolios for corporations, institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and retail investors. The firm's main objective is to conduct and provide services on securities, futures contracts, and asset management. Ben Zhang is the appointed managing director of the firm, apart from Haitong International Asset Management, he also manages Hai Tong Asset Management (HK) and Haitong International Investment Managers. Previously, Zhang was the Head of the International Business of China Merchants fund in 2009 and the Director of UBS Investment Bank in 2007.
