Hain Capital Group (Hain) is a New Jersey-based hedge fund manager founded in 2002. The firm focuses on purchasing and exploiting opportunities in trade claims (receivables) against bankrupt companies. It acquires trade claims, administrative expense claims, rejected lease claims, executory contract claims, and other non-cusped obligations of a debtor to creditors. The firm purchases bonds, bank debt, and equities of bankrupt companies where it gains a significant edge in analysis by focusing on a bottom-up approach to the capital structure.
