Established in March 2008, Fundamental Value Partners (FVP) is a Hong Kong-based private equity firm that has a preference for special situation debt plus equity investments, and focuses on the small and medium enterprises and the middle market sector in the Asia Pacific region. The firm is regulated and licensed by Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. FVP constantly seeks opportunities arising out of business or credit cycles, dislocations and other distressed special situations in various industries. The firm prefers to invest in undervalued companies with viable business models and those that have an inefficient or inappropriate financial structure. The portfolio companies should also possess a strong management team. FVP enhances the value of its portfolio companies by working closely with the management team, and if necessary, assist to restructure and reorganize the company. The firm invests in a diversified range of industries, including consumer discretionary, financial services, information technology and materials industries in China.
