Dubai Shariah Asset Management (DSAM) is a Dubai-based asset manager that was established in 2002. It is a Shariah-compliant seeding platform, with Shariah Capital as the Shariah advisor, Barclays Capital as the prime broker and is structured as a product distributor. The firm is 51% owned by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and 49% by Shariah Capital. DMCC was created to establish a commodity market place in Dubai and to provide industry-specific market infrastructure with a full range of facilities for gold, precious metals, diamonds, colored stones, energy and other commodity industries.
