China Development Bank Capital

Established in 2009 with the approval of the government, China Development Bank Capital (CDB Capital) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Development Bank and an investment unit of China Development Bank. CDB Capital has now taken over several of CDB's key businesses, including private equity investment management, direct investment, fund management and financial advisory. After the establishment of CDB capital, all investment assets of CDB are assigned to its name, except the equity of financial companies held by CDB. The assets to be acquired include CDB's private equity stakes and direct holdings in non-financial companies. CDB Capital and its subsidiaries, such as Hong Kong-based CDB International raise private equity funds which provide growth capital to unlisted companies. CDB Capital has a broad mandate and invests in a wide range of industries, such as manufacturing and technology sectors and across markets, including China, Asia and South America.
