Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), formerly known as Brown Brothers & Co., is a New York-based fund manager serving its clients through two focused business lines: Investor Services and Capital Partners. BBH invests in lower middle-market companies globally, including in North America, Europe, and Asia, and allows for flexible investment mandates for both control and non-control transactions, structuring investments as straight preferred or common equity, or a combination of equity and subordinated debt. The real estate arm of BBH has made core investments in industrial, multi-family, office, and retail property types across the U.S. The hedge fund arm manages public and private equity, as well as fixed-income assets, for institutional investors, mutual funds, and high-net-worth individuals.
