Bridges Fund Management is a specialist impact and sustainable investment fund manager. Bridges has spent more than two decades identifying investment solutions that can make the economy more sustainable and inclusive – in a way that also unlocks lasting economic value. Bridges was founded by Sir Ronald Cohen, Michele Giddens and Philip Newborough – driven by a shared belief that business and investment can help address some of their most pressing social and environmental challenges. Over the subsequent two decades, Bridges has raised over £1.7bn across two private markets strategies, which seek to generate competitive, non-concessionary financial returns with positive social and environmental impact: Real Estate – value add/opportunistic property funds focused on the alternative real estate sectors (including living, logistics, & healthcare), investing in demographic and consumer trends and spotting under-valued assets principally in needs-driven sectors; and Private Equity – lower mid-market private equity funds investing in high-growth, high-impact SMEs with a proven business model and a strong lockstep between commercial and impact performance. The broader Bridges group also includes a not-for-profit arm, comprising Bridges Outcomes Partnership, a social enterprise which supports outcomes-based contracts which help achieve better outcomes for vulnerable people and the environment and better value for the public purse, and the Bridges Impact Foundation, which provides catalytic, philanthropic support for innovative solutions that drive better outcomes for underserved people and the planet.
