Atlantic Investment Management is a US-based hedge fund manager, founded by Alexander Roepers in 1988. The firm invests in publicly traded industrial and consumer companies with a focus on high-quality assets. This investment methodology is distinct due to the firm's concentration of capital and research on its highest conviction investments, as well as its private equity-like due diligence. Atlantic Investment Management also engages constructively with management and boards to enhance and accelerate shareholder value. Additionally, the firm strictly adheres to its buy/sell cash flow-focused valuation discipline and maintains liquidity to allow for opportunistic trading around core positions. In addition to its flagship concentrated long-only U.S. and global best ideas funds, the firm manages long-biased hedge funds for each of the Europe, Japan, and Asia ex-Japan markets. Atlantic Investment Management has been a Registered Investment Adviser since 2006.
