AltaVair (formally Guggenheim Aviation Partners) is a private equity manager that focuses on acquiring new and used commercial aircraft for leasing to domestic and international passenger airlines and cargo operators. Through the purchase of aircraft at attractive prices and effective management of those assets, AltaVair seeks to provide investors with risk-adjusted returns above related benchmarks. In October 2016, Guggenheim Partners announced the sale of its commercial aircraft investment and management business, Guggenheim Aviation Partners, to its management team. The management buyout rebranded the firm to AltaVair.
