Alta Equity Partners is a Massachusetts-based fund manager. The private equity division focuses on management buyouts, divestitures, complex situations, and restructuring investments in lower middle-market companies across North America and the Caribbean. The private debt arm invests in a wide range of opportunities, including debt restructuring and bankruptcy situations that present financial, operational, or management challenges. Alta Equity Partners targets a broad spectrum of industries, such as business services, communications, media, industrials, data & information, and software. However, the firm does not invest in real estate or start-ups. Alta makes both minority and majority investments and requires a board seat in all its deals.
