Akre Capital Management

Established in Q4 of 1989, Akre Capital Management is a hedge fund manager based in Virginia. The firm manages assets divided among a private fund, mutual fund, and separately managed account. The majority of the firm's assets are in a long-only mutual fund, the Akre Focus Fund. The firm operates a single hedge fund strategy, Braddock Partners, which is available through an onshore or offshore feeder. The funds employ a concentrated long-bias equity strategy that seeks above-average rates of return over extended periods while managing downside risk and opportunistically taking advantage of dislocations in the market.
