Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Vórtx was founded in 2015 by co-founders Juliano Cornacchia and Alexandre Assolini. The company's protocol with the Central Bank was registered in 2013, but it wasn't until October 15th, 2015 that it was able to begin operations. The firm increased its office in 2016 from 430 square feet to 830 square feet. The technical team started writing the first code for the proprietary programs VC Informa and VX Receivables. In 2017, the company expanded again, this time to a 4300-square-foot office. In addition, Vórtx topped the Uqbar List as a Fiduciary Partner for CRIs (mortgage-backed securities) and CRAs at the end of 2017 (Agribusiness-backed securities). In 2018, the company doubled in size, with a new building of over 10,000 square feet and a workforce of over 150 employees. Vórtx has 80 practitioners as of 2019. In 2020, the company launched VX Meetings, a platform with full support for digital meetings, Vórtx One, a platform for Funds Trust, and VX Informa+, a platform for Corporate Trust. Vórtx provides corporate trust services, focused on fiduciary agents, asset custody, and transition agent services, allowing customers to increase savings by greatly reducing the margin of operating errors that may exist in the transaction. The company plans to broaden its technical capability and business position in the financial back-office market.
