Based in Spain, and founded in 2020 by Wouter Draijer and Victor Gardrinier, SolarMente operates as a solar company that focuses on clean energy by installing solar panels. In November 2021, SolarMente raised EUR 1.8 million in seed funding led by Abad Capital, with participation from Climate Capital and Plug and Play Ventures and returning investors Global Founders Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures, and individual investors who also participated in the round. SolarMente offers software that combines solar, storage, and energy trading for each home into a single smart service, allowing Spanish homeowners to generate store, and distribute clean energy. The company plans to use the November 2021 funding to redouble its commitment to R&D and expand throughout the national territory.
