Based in Shanghai, China and established in 2012, Shanghai Junshi Biosciences Co., Ltd. is a biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovering and development of monoclonal antibody drugs. The company has four research and development centers in Shanghai and Suzhou, San Francisco and Maryland, and two production sites in Suzhou and Shanghai. The CEO of the company, Dr. Ning Li, worked in U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In December 2015, Junshi Biosciences received IND approval for its anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody drug. The company has established a number of core technology platforms, such as monoclonal hybridoma, screening and evaluation of candidate antibodies, humanization, and construction and screening system of mammalian cells with high expression of monoclonal drugs. Junshi has developed 28 innovative drugs, 2 bioanalogues including PD-1 monoclonal antibody (JS001), PCSK9 monoclonal antibody (JS002) and BTLA monoclonal antibody (JS004). The products can be used in tumor, metabolism, autoimmune, nervous system, anti-infection and other major diseases.
