Based in Shenzhen, China and founded in 2018, MoonX, provides autonomous driving solution for the logistic industry. The founder of the company, Qingxiong Yang, has been served as Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of R&D in WeRide.ai, senior director in Didi Chuxing. Nowadays, the company has more than 40 employees. The first tested car was made in July 2018 and tested on the road in August. In September 2018, the tested car can auto drive on the road within 10 square kilometer. In 2021, the company has completed USD 310 million series B funding and was acquired by WeRide.ai for market expansion. The company provides unmanned hardware and system including LIDAR equipment, Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU), GPS device, display machinery, GPS system, car sensing system, and high precision map system. The company has introduced business strategy in logistic area, it has signed cooperation agreements with large logistics companies, online procurement platforms, communication companies, first-tier suppliers and car factories to provides unmanned vehicle solution that can be mass-produced. The company is seeking for new funding from other investors to accelerate unmanned logistics development and the industrialization of unmanned vehicles.
