About

Based in Japan, founded in 2004, maxim Co., Ltd started as a company based in Osaka selling health and beauty products through their online store “Lettuce”. The company moved to Hyogo soon after and established a new online store “Kobe Lettuce” and shifted their focus to ladies’ wear. In 2006 they reorganized the company so that it became a stock company and also established a logistics center in the Port Island of Kobe. In 2007 they set up another online clothing store “MobaKyaba” while moving into a larger office and adding a photography studio. In 2009, the logistics center was moved to Gifu. In the same year they opened their first brick-and-mortar store in Sannomiya, Kobe, at the same time establishing a business department devoted to social apps. In 2010, they offered their app “Dream Mansion” in Mobage Town, later in the same year it was offered in GREE. The logistics center was relocated again, this time to Osaka and they set up their first branch office. In 2011, they offered a new app “Teraden” in Mobage, and “Dream Mansion SURVIVAL” was made available in the iTunes store. In 2012, they established “BrandNewJewel”, an online hiphop jewelry site, while adding more floor space to the office, and devoting a photography studio an entire floor. Early in 2013, they started running 2000 stores nationwide, handling their wholesale clothing line “Secret Venus”, and opened another brick-and-mortar store. They would continue to add 9 more brick-and-mortar stores in Tokyo and other key locations up to 2019, as well as establish 2 more online clothing lines, “BELL PALETTE” and “andlily”. In 2013 they have reported sales of around JPY 200 million. By 2019, this figure has doubled to around JPY 400 million.
