Based in Dubai, UAE, and founded in 2022 by Bogdan Atanasiu (CEO), Five is a FinTech platform that allows users to browse and compare interest rates for a variety of financial services such as loans, mortgages, deposits, insurance, and leasing. In October 2022, Five raised USD 3.5 million in Seed round led by new investor Zeyshare Ventures. The firm’s partners include merchants, services providers, real estate and automotive businesses. The firm provides a proprietary bidding platform that allows firms to compete with other businesses and submit quotations based on consumer requests. The customer, thus, has the final say in selecting the best-suited interest rate for any loan, mortgage, deposit, insurance, or lease. The company intends to use the October 2022 funding to expand in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and for further product development, including the development of a digital wallet and the launch of a debit card.
