Based in Centro Pereira, Colombia, and founded in September 1979 by Edilberto Varón Escárraga and Arcelia Echeverry de Varón, Eve Distribuciones S.A., trading under the name Evedisa, distributes and retails pharmaceutical products and medical devices. The company began as a promoter and marketer of exclusive pharmaceutical lines. Later, with the launch of the Canal Tradicional, the company started serving independent drugstores, hardware stores, miscellaneous, supermarkets, among others. In 1993, the company started operating a chain of drugstores which has expanded in different regions in Colombia. In 2012, Eve Distribuciones S.A. launched Vitalbel, a store that specializes in beauty, dermo-cosmetics, cosmetics and personal care products. By mid-2017, the company was able to launch its exclusive brand Ingenia Innolabs. Eve Distribuciones S.A. primarily distributes and commercializes pharmaceutical products, nutritional supplements, ethical, generic, cosmetics, and OTC hospital supplies in the Colombian market. The company also offers logistics and distribution centers that feature an automated temperature and humidity control system used for the storage of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
