In March 2026, Dronus Spa raised EUR 15 million in Series A funding led by new investor Algebris Investments, with the participation from other new investors Azimut, Cdp Venture Capital, Eni Next and Società Italiana per le Imprese all'Estero.

Dronus specializes in advanced drone solutions, primarily through its patented NEST® 250 system, an automated drone-in-a-box framework designed for aerial inspection and security applications. The NEST® 250 allows for fully autonomous operations, enabling drones to perform inspections and security monitoring around the clock without the need for human pilots. This innovative solution is particularly beneficial for industrial sites and smart city projects, addressing the critical need for constant oversight in remote and urban environments. The company’s flagship drone, the K250, is notable for being the first ‘Harmless’ Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) to receive a Design Verification Report from EASA, which permits Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights over populated areas across all 27 EU member states, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Norway.
