Established in 2014 and based in Beijing, China, Carale operates as a service robotics technology platform service provider, dedicated to the development and market application of commercial service robots. The founder, Li Yi, graduated from Peking University and is a member of the National Robot Intellectualization Standard Committee. The company has more than 60 employees located in Beijing and Tianjin, of which 70% are technical researchers. In March 2021, it raised pre-A funding led by new investor Aplus Labs. The company is committed to the research and development of intelligent service robot universal platforms and robot intelligent mobile chassis. Its main products are Mika series service robots, Light Bird series inventory robots, and sterilization robots. Inventory robots equipped with RFID radio frequency identification communication technology and image recognition technology can be applied to the library inventory, warehouse inventory, supermarkets, and apparel hypermarkets shelves goods inventory. The products have been mass-produced and sold in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Henan, Guangdong, Zhejiang and other places.
