Based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and founded in 2005, Andes Technology is a semiconductor company that provides customers with SoC solutions. It has set up branches in the USA, Canada, Korea, etc. In 2016, Andes joined the RISC-V Foundation as the founding member. It has established partnerships with SK Telecom, Advanced Sensor Integrations, APLabs, etc.
The company's founder, Mingjie Cai, graduated from the National Taiwan University and served as IC Design Manager at the Electronic Research & Service Organization (ERSO) in the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). The company is committed to providing embedded processors and SoC platform solutions. It has developed an AndesCore™ infrastructural platform that can be applied to digital consumer, embedded system, mobile, multimedia, and so on. It also provides technical support and consulting services for Andes products.
