Founded in 2015, and based in Seoul, South Korea, Algorigo operates as a software developer and behavioural monitoring device manufacturer. The company develops sensors and machine learning algorithms and smart products to analyse everyday activities including studying, working, and driving. In 2015, when the company was established, the company was selected to participate in Creative Factory Business Supporting Project, a program backed by Small and Medium Business Administration, and continues to be a participant of this program till 2017. In 2017, Algorigo R&D centre was established as a sub-organ of a quasi-government agency, Korea Technology Finance Corporation. In 2018, the company launched its product DUOBACK-ON, a smart chair for children, and installed its products at Busan SW Education Support Center. In 2019, the company received investment from Hyundai Motor Group Accelerator under the participation of a Hyundai-backed program ZER01NE X M.START. In 2020, the company received equity investment from Hyundai Transys and reached the strategic business agreement with Hyundai Transys. In 2021, the company released its pressure sensor software development kit PRESSUREGO. In 2022, the company raised KRW 1.5 billion from Hyundai Motor Zero One and Lighthouse Combined Investment as pre-seeding fund. The company provides two types of products – behavioural monitoring hardware and software. The hardware includes smart chair and smart cushion, both are under the brand name DUOBACK. The two hardware can distinguish user’s pressure while sitting on them, and the analysis the sitting habits will be delivered via its software, Algostudy and Algohealth. The company is developing a new software that can be linked to its product DUOBACK, Algowork, a software focusing on analysing user’s working pattern to improve the efficiency while monitoring the health.
