About

Established in 1942, Lehigh Cement Company Pension Fund is a private sector pension fund headquartered in Irving, Texas. The pension plan provides pension, death, and disability payments to eligible employees. Lehigh Cement Company started as a single-mill operation in Pennsylvania and manufactures bulk cement in North America. In January 2017, Lehigh Hanson, Inc. transferred the plan's sponsorship to Lehigh Hanson Services LLC. The Consolidated Legacy ESSROC Pension Plan (now known as the Lehigh Hanson Pension Plan) was combined with and into the plan on October 8, 2018, making the changes effective immediately. Certain members' accumulated benefits were spun off, as defined under the plan amendment, and the plan was altered. The Company decided to end the pension plan on July 26, 2018, and liquidation was judged imminent. The decision took effect on October 9, 2018.
