Based in Ha Noi, Vietnam, and founded in 2015, VinCommerce is a retail subsidiary of Masan Group that operates convenience stores and supermarkets in Vietnam. Masan Group is Vietnam's leading food and beverage company. Masan Group acquired a majority stake in the company in 2019. VinCommerce is a subsidiary of Masan group and a retail business operator that operates approximately 2,300 convenience stores and supermarkets, known as Vinmart, in Vietnam.
In April 2021, South Korea's SK group acquired a minority stake in VinCommerce as a move to expand Vincommerce's presence and grow it into an omnichannel business that covers both online and offline channels. VinCommerce operates convenience stores and supermarkets, known as Vinmart, throughout Vietnam. Vinmart mainly sells consumer food and beverage products such as meat, dairy, meat, etc. through online and offline channels.
For the company's future growth plans, SK Group plans to strengthen VinCommerce's online and offline distribution channels, logistics, and electronic payment system to increase its value chain. SK Group also plans to transform the company into an omnichannel business.
