Based in Suzhou, China, and founded in 2023, HYLIC is a battery company that provides customers with solid-state lithium-ion battery products. The battery key materials research and development center and battery system research and development base have been set up in Wuhan and Shenzhen. In April 2023, it established a joint R&D center with China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and raised pre-series A funding for CNY 100 million in June 2024. The founder, Min Liu was the head of solid-state battery technology in the technology center of Dongfeng Automobile Group.
The company is committed to developing solid-state battery cells and solid-state battery products for energy storage, power, home appliances, and other scenarios. The products can be categorized into power batteries, energy storage batteries, consumer electronics batteries, and aviation batteries, which contain high safety, long life, and other advantages. The company generates revenue by providing solid-state battery cells and solid-state battery products. In 2025, the company plans to complete mass production of solid-state batteries.
The 10GWh solid-state battery smart factory is expected to start production in the first quarter of 2025.
